Prof. Dr. Merla Kubli, together with her co-author Patrizio Canzi from Romande Energie, have been awarded with the Gert-von-Kortzfleisch prize for their publication “Business strategies for flexibility aggregators to steer clear of being “too small to bid”. The prize is awarded to scientifically outstanding studies in the field of System Dynamics and issued by the German Association for System Dynamics.
The featured publication resulted from an industry-academic collaboration as part of the SCCER joint activity Romande Energie demonstrator. By means of a System Dynamics simulation model the two authors investigate business strategies to overcome the technology valley of death situation for flexibility aggregators that are newly entering the market.
