Executive Education Programme in Renewable Energy Management - REM-HSG
Our executive education programmes are tailored towards the needs of professionals with several years of work experience in energy, finance and related fields who are preparing for the next step in turning their career climate positive. Currently in its 9th consecutive edition, the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Renewable Energy Management (REM-HSG) is a unique executive education programme helping participants to turn climate change and other challenges to the energy status quo into new business opportunities. A particular focus is on managing disruptive decentralization in the energy market, driven by the convergence of solar photovoltaics, battery storage, digitization, and electric mobility.

REM-HSG allowed me to look at things from a different perspective, leading to new, unexpected solutions beyond business as usual. The program encouraged me to think out of the box and to discuss the market potential of renewable energies from different points of view.
St.Gallen Forum for Management of Renewable Energies
Hosted by our Chair annually since 2010, #REMforum is a platform connecting the movers and shakers of the energy transition. International thought leaders from academia and industry, as well as policymakers, investors and NGOs meet in St.Gallen to discuss the outlook for renewable energy and clean mobility, and identify new business opportunities. After 10 physical editions, #REMforum 2020 was held in a blended format, allowing for face-to-face interaction on site, as well as reaching a wider international audience online, and followed by the joint #REMforum #MaCSHSG #GreenBagSeries of weekly webinars on energy and climate solutions.
Apart from offering the dedicated CAS REM-HSG, our faculty also contributes to the full-fledged (E)MBA programmes of the Executive School
The modular curriculum of executive education at the University of St.Gallen consists of dedicated Certificates of Advanced Studies (10 ECTS, 3 one-week modules), as well as the longer MBA and Executive MBA programmes (75 ECTS, 1-2 years). IWÖ-HSG contributes sustainability and climate-related content in all of those programmes.
