Detailed information can be found on the "Serviceportal" of the University of St.Gallen Ph.D. Level Ph.D. seminar on issues and projects in the field of sustainability management: This elective course examines basic approaches and concepts in sustainability management in business as well as managerial questions surrounding renewable energy. By examining original texts (especially in English), the questions concerning the relationship between sustainability and economic success, concepts of sustainability management and the direction of sustainability strategies will be explored in depth, including with respect to innovation and energy management.. Master’s Level Master’s Level elective in sustainable business performance: The course covers the conceptual foundations of sustainable business performance and innovations, i.e. how companies can generate value while taking into consideration the overall ecological, social and economic conditions. You will learn how to deal with the special opportunities and risks of sustainable business performance and will find out more about the key connections between global climate change and innovative sustainable energy technologies. By examining concrete examples from the energy sector, you will develop solutions for turning challenges in the area of sustainability into business opportunities. Field project for Master’s degree in Marketing, Services and Communication Management (MSC): The three-semester project is completed in cooperation with an industry partner. The objective is for students to apply their theoretical and conceptual knowledge to concrete economic problem. CEMS MIM Block seminar: Meeting the Energy and Climate Challenges Model UNFCCC - CEMS Climate Change Strategy Role Play: The Climate Change Strategy Role Play is an innovative educational approach with the goal to broaden the students' understanding of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the background and consequences of climate change for business. The course modules deal with the core issues of climate change and include a wide range of effective didactic tools and exercises. The course is held simultaneously at several leading CEMS universities. Special emphasis is laid on consequences of climate change, its impact on international and national regulatory frameworks, and emerging challenges and market opportunities for business.
